Licensed contractors will not release CFC’s (chlorofluorocarbons) and HCFCs (hydro chlorofluorocarbons) into the atmosphere. These are known to be destructive to the planet’s ozone layer and a properly trained contractor will know how to recover, recycle, and dispose of used refrigerants.
